My plan to teach colors

I've been trying to be intentional about having "learning" time with Jacob. So along these lines I decided we should go on a hike and talk about the colors of fall leaves. Haha ya right!

Halfway down the path he remembers "Wait, I've been here before I think there is a creak up ahead!" and starts tearing down the path.
Luckily mommy is faster than Jacob and I caught him before he dove in the water. I let him stand on a rock which he thought was pretty cool but he kept telling me "I get in!!"

Here are the leaves we found and looked at for like 8 seconds.

It was a very fun hike, and now every time we pass the park Jacob thinks we are going hiking again!

Happy Halloween!

Charles and I had our Halloween fun Friday night. We went with some friends of ours to a haunted house (for those of you that don't know Charles LOVES Halloween). The haunted house was fun but I was gripping onto Charles within an inch of my life. I'm a scary cat!!

Then Sat night we decided to just stay home and pass out candy because we had been out at the cold football fields all day. We all still dressed up to pass out our candy... here is how our evening progressed:

Well the sword is sortof fun...
