Taco in a Bowl

These are not the best pics because they were taken with my sisters phone... but still hilarious. He was in the funniest mood and every time he would 'drink' the taco meat from the bowl he would think it was so funny and crack up.

Free Ice Cream Day

Last week Ben and Jerry's Ice cream shop had a free ice cream day!!! Happy, Happy day!! Jacob and I went down to the Ben and Jerry's by Vandy's campus with some friends after work and enjoyed some fabulous ice cream (poor daddy he had to work late that day).

Jacob was thrilled that I gave him the cone with some ice cream on it (he hasn't had allot of sugar up to this point of his life. He was not even remotely interested in eating the ice cream. It was much much more fun to just play with the cone and wipe the ice cream in his hair. When I finally had to take it away from him he desolved in a puddle of tears. Sad, but very fun while it lasted!

Hot Day and Water Fun!

For the first time in a few weeks we had no AAU Basketball games on Saturday (Charles is helping coach a middle school team). So we got outside early and Charles mowed the lawn while Jacob and I washed both cars. The discovery of how wonderful the hose is has officially started something. Now ever time we go outside he finds the hose and makes spraying noises. When I got home from the store yesterday Charles and Jacob were have big fun in the hose, bathing suite and all.

Spring Time in the South

It is the bigest blessing to have a deck and a yard! Jacob was having the best time playing outside yesterday. He threw a huge fit when we finally had to come back inside. I think he will want to live outside this summer if I let him.

Jacob is becomeing quite verbal... well he has always been verbal but now you can understand his words! He says allot of jiberish along with: Mommy, Daddy, Bannana, Nana, Honey, Papa, Sock, Shoe, Nellie (my parents dog), cookie, juice (which acctualy means milk), and cup. I think he says a few other things that are less understandable. Its sooo much fun to have a walking, talking baby!

Nothing is Sacred With a 16 Month Old!

Thanks to the fact we had YL club in our basement last night I actually got a little of my house cleaned. I still have almost nothing hanging on my walls but here are a few pics of my kitchen eating area and living room.

For those of you that don't know, my Philly husband did NOT grow up mowing the grass. They don't exactly have allot of grass in Philly. For that matter they don't have allot of grass in Albuquerque NM either. So its safe to say that our yard is about 10 times the size of anything Charles has ever mowed!

This is sooo much more cabinet space then I've ever had!

Look at my pretty table with flowers from my pink and white dogwood trees. So happy... until about five minutes after I took this picture Jacob was in his high chair eating and pulled the whole table cloth off! Yep, sent my flowers flying across the floor and got Mac and Cheese all over the clean and ironed table cloth. Nothing is sacred these days!

Then at last the living room. You cant tell because I took terrible pics but the living room goes right into the eating area and kitchen. Oh yes, my lovely blue couches... haha I know its every ones dream to have blue denim couches in their house! :)

There is a little piece of our new place. I'll take some more pics and post again. Maybe when I paint my bathroom or hang some pics on the walls.

Oh by the way... My cute boy is 16 months today!!!

Happy Easter...

Well, my house is still a disaster, I somehow cant find the time. Then every time I get things looking better they get messed up again... tis life. We have been in a world of tornadoes lately. For those of you who are in different parts of the country you have prob seen the tornadoes that hit TN on the news. It hit a Nashville suburb. Despite the bad weather we had a beautiful Easter. My parents hosted a large family event and it was a blast. My moms side of the family has 4 children between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 years old so we did an Easter egg hunt. It was such a blast!! I had no idea Jacob would actually catch on to Easter egg hunting. Here are some pics of our day:

messy messy house

So I know many of you out there are ready to kill me for not posting pics of the house yet... its just that its a total mess. We dont have a lawn mower so our yard looks like a jungle. In our hunt for an affordable lawn mower this weekend I didnt get anything but laundry done. Yep house is crazy messy and boxes are only partialy unpacked. So as we wait for me to get organized I thought I would celebrate the opening weekend of Baseball with some cute pics of my son. (Charles is going to kill me when he sees Jay has on Cubs gear instead of Philly! :) )

Moving Craze

Well we finally got moved Saturday and Sunday. It took forever but we are officially in!! Unfortunately we are still living amidst boxes... Jacob has been sick all week and nothing got done. Of course my crazy child showed no signs of an ear infection and when I took him to the Doctor yesterday he had a double ear infection! Poor kid no wonder he felt so bad.

I don't even have any pics of the house. I was to embarrassed of what a mess it is to take current pics of it. so instead I thought I would give you a few pics of what Jacob did while we moved. He played with his Honey and Aunt Molly who gave him a Strawberry. He LOVED it and got it EVERYWHERE!!! Luckily they took his white shirt off. :)

Note: my blogging might be sporatic for a week or two we are having trouble geting our internet conected.
